 Meaning

Oh, dear friend, I had an unexpected meeting with the handsome Syam, when I went to fetch water from river Jamuna.  His head was adorned with the peacock feather; upon his lips was the flute from which a new melody was flowing.  One moment, He stands with the cow, and the next moment he goes away.

He converses with this cowherd friend in sweet nectarine words.  Oh lord, Padmanabha, who reclining on the serpent bestows His compassion on the three worlds.  Please bestow on me the ultimate happiness.
