Meaning
Oh lord, Madhava! One with beautiful eyes like a lotus! Please protect me forever.
Your form resembles the dark clouds. You are revered by Brahama and Siva. You are the wish-yielding tree to the devoted. You are Sri Padmanabha, Oh Saure! the sovereign of the universe, and the vanquisher of the demon Mura.
You destroy the worldly attachment to things like the nectar of the lotus flower, bestowing upon your devotees the ultimate bliss equivalent of ambrosia. You are engrossed in playing nectarine melodies on the flute. You are awesome to opponents and benevolent in bestowing boons to virtuous.
You are an expert in showing kindness, you alleviated the suffering of the great elephant. You repose on the ocean of milk. Your exquisitely beautiful form matches a crore of Cupid. You dwell in the hearts of ascetics. You ride on Garuda, the foe of serpents.
You are the source of joy to the celestials. You are adorned in golden yellow raiment, oh beloved of Lakshmi! Oh, Gopala, beautiful child with a lovely forehead like the crescent moon! You are decked in Tulasi garland and by your very nature offer protection to the pious and virtuous.
