Meaning

Oh, my dear girl!  My love for Him is increasing day by day and I am becoming weak since I can't see the crescent fore-headed Sri Padmanabha.

Cupid is raining his arrows; Oh Mohanangi!  the pleasant moonlight is burning me; Oh Mallakshi! the sweet sound of the cuckoos disturbs my mind; Oh Bhamini! the bed of tender leaves is burning like fire; Alas! What shall I do?

Will my Lord abandon me?  Will he go to any other women?  When will he join me?  Will he come today to me by himself?  Why is that I murmur all these in vain?  Oh my lady, is it the fate that I should suffer alone?

Oh, Tarattenmozhi-honey socked words!  Has he forgotten the days he enjoyed with me?  When I was lying tired, He energized me with his soft words, what is the reason that He has forgotten all these?  You should go to HIm and narrate to HIm all these, and bring HIm back to me.
