Workshop is divided into three sessions

Pre Session and Familiarization 
Dates: 5th July 2023 through 7th July 2023

• Participants share recorded practice videos of songs learnt under their guru.
• Participants will be provided with video recordings of 4 krithis to learn and practice.

Live Interactive Session
Dates - Saturday July 8th 2023 and Sunday July 9th 2023 - Three hours on both days
Time -   09:30 AM EST / 6:30 AM PST / 2:30 PM BST

Post Session and Personal Interaction
Dates 10th July 2023 through 15th July 2023

• Participants share recorded practice videos with Guru
• Evaluation of the songs sung by the participants
• Personal attention for correction in Style, vocal dynamics

• Explore gamakas and other nuances in Carnatic music
• General exercises for traversing through scales easily
• Appreciate lyrical beauty of compositions and swaraaksharas
• Pointers to developing ability to sing manodharma
• Proper usage of voice in bringing out the best of compositions

Eligibility

• All age groups.
• Candidates with singing knowledge of a few Varnams and Krithis may apply.

 Workshop fees & payment options:

• Registrations will be accepted on first come first served basis.
• The fees for each workshop is $150 per participant.
• Workshop payments could be made using one of the following methods:

• Cancellations will be accepted 5 days (3rd July 2023) before the workshop after which registration fees are not refundable.

Vidwan KS Vishnudev (formerly known as “Vishnudev Namboothiri”) born in a family of music connoisseurs, is a versatile and passionate vocalist who is an “A” grade artist of All India Radio. Vishnudev is one of the leading upcoming artists who has travelled across the globe and performed in the USA, Canada, Europe, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, UAE etc.

Vishnudev’s foray into Carnatic Music was at age of nine under Smt. Alli Harivishnu and learning continued under his aunt Smt. Kavitha Shibu. At the age of twelve, he came under the tutelage of Sri Chandramana Narayanan Namboothiri with whom he learnt for ten years. After acquiring a strong foundation and training to develop manodharma, he gave his first public concert in 2001 at Guruvayoor Temple. After moving to Chennai, Vishnudev subsequently received expert guidance from senior maestro and guru Sri Neyveli Santhanagopalan. From 2009, he had been under the tutelage of renowned Carnatic musician Padma Bhushan Sri. P.S. Narayanaswamy until his passing in 2020.

Vishnudev is a recipient of several prestigious awards and prizes from various organizations from around the world. He is also blessed to have shared the stage with many senior musicians like Sri. Umalyalpuram K Sivaraman, Sri. Trichy Sankaran, Sri. Tiruvarur Bhaktavatsalam, Sri. Mannargudi Easwaran, Sri. Kamalakar Rao, Sri. Mavelikkara Velukkutti Nair, Sri. Nagai Muralidharan etc.

Vishnudev has won many awards and accolades from esteemed organizations and has performed widely for many prestigious organizations and in important festivals across the country and abroad.
