Meaning

Oh friend!  Do you remember that once we went to the forest to fetch firewood as ordered by our guru's wife?
After we gathered firewood and tied them up as bundles and were carrying them on our heads, dark night fell and heavy rains poured.  So we spent the night holding our hands together.  Do you remember at all?
At dawn did not our preceptor, the gem among the teachers, upon witnessing the hardships we underwent due to the devotion to him bless us?
Lord Krishna,  whose brilliance excels that of the sun, and who is worthy of praise by all, conversed with Kucela thus!

Meaning

Oh Mind!  Contemplate on the feet of lord Padmanabha!
They are skillful and untainted and win over the pride of the red lotus.
Those are meditated upon by Sanaka, Suka, Narada, and others.  The lotus hands of the goddess Lakshmi constantly cares for them. They are ever adored by Brahma and Siva.  They are like the wish-yielding tree to those who genuflect.
Those feet are held in the palms of Garuda (the king of birds).  They danced on the hood of Kaliya (the great serpent), as a stage.  The beautiful feet rest on the lap of goddess Lakshmi, who is born of the ocean.  They wandered in Vrindavan and destroyed evil.
Those feet are adorned with jingling, gem studded anklets.  The sun and the moon-like brilliance of your feet, remove the darkness of ignorance.  They keep time to the melody of the lute skillfully.  Those feet are the supreme remedy to the cycle of life and death, Oh the ageless one!

Meaning

Oh Mind!  Always remember with joy the lotus feet of Sri Hari.
Give up forthwith the possessiveness on your intimate ones like wife and children.  Concentrate more on the association of pious people.
Whatever you get, consider it as your wealth the beginning of your fortune, and be happy with it.  Do not be enslaved by wealth intoxicated by its possession, then you will be unhappy.
Always dwell in the temple of Hari.  Let desire not overpower you into saying the untruth.  Keep your mind incessantly on the devotees of Lord Madhava.  This alone is the path of purification.  Meditate on him with joy!
Keep worshiping the supreme spirit always.  He is lord Padmanabha the flawless and most benevolent. His eyes brim with compassion. His beautiful dark form is adorned with a Kaustubha gem and fresh garlands.
