Meaning

Oh, Sri Ramachandra!  Guide us to have good thoughts.  You are the ocean of compassion.
The majestically held bow and arrow shine in your hands.  You are valiant and merciful.  You are the paragon of virtues and embodiment of knowledge, the host of celestials prostrate unto you.
Oh, Rama!  Vanquisher of dreadful demons, your face is bright, glowing like the full moon.  You are the most magnificent among men and you are the gem of the Ravi Vamsa.  Oh Jankirama!  the delight of Janki! YOu are the protector of ascetics.
Oh, Kambukantha (one with a conch-like neck).  Adorned with gem-studded golden garland, you are surrounded by a host of monkeys including Nia, Nala, Hanuman, and others., in whose company you manifest your marvelous leelas (sports).  In destroying the ego and bestowing generously, you are like the celestial tree.  You broke the majestic bow of Kalakala (the Shiva).
Oh! Valiant Pankajanabha! One whose hair surpasses the rain-bearing clouds.  OH the lord of the Universe!  Your lotus-like feet are worshiped by Indira.  Oh, the charming Sarasiruhalochana (the lotus-eyed). You obliterate the worldly bondage and liberate those taking refuge in you.

Meaning

Sri Padmanabha! My mind yearns to be merged with your fervently.
You reside in the lotus-like hearts of the sages who meditate upon you.  You destroy all the sorrows.  You are the lord of the world.
I yearn for you, just like the lovelorn maiden longs for her beloved who has left for a distant land, like the swarm of bees hovering over the lotus ponds, just as the koels welcome the spring season and like the most thirsty person longs for a sweet drink.
Like the thirsty Cataka birds await longingly for the dark clouds, as they will not take any other water;  like the fledglings long for their mothers return, as the man weary of the fierce sun longs for the shade, as the bird Coakora longs for the moon.  I long for you always.
Just as the man welcomes a coverlet in winter, like the hungry baby wants the breast of the mother, like the old needs a walking stick, Oh lord of Syanandura! I need you.  Your face resembles the lotus.

Meaning

Oh suzerain of Kumarangara (Kumaranallur), the repository of compassion, you reside in the lotus.
You are the wish-yielding tree to the devotees.  You are the bee that intently seeks the nectar of the lotus face of Lord Padmanabha.
Your gem studded anklets jingle sweetly.  The tinkling of your bangles that adorn your wrist are melodious, your face shines like the moon.  Your tresses are adorned with the fresh petals of a lotus.  The beauty of your eyes darkened by collyrium excels that of Khanajana (a species of wagtail).  You reside in the hearts of those who have conquered passion.  Your forehead is adorned with musk paste.
Your neck is beautiful like the conch, oh the mother of the universe, protector of the world!  Your lips are red like the Bimba fruit.  Your dark and rich tresses are like the swarm of bees.  Eyes are lovely like the blue lotus,  you are adored by Shiva, Vishnu, and others. You bestow good fortune to those who worship you.
Your gait is more graceful than that of the elephant,  destroyer of the enemies of the celestials, the origin of the world!  Your teeth are like jasmine buds.  Your feet are soft and delicate, your charming smile is wonderful that the crescent moon, the sweet nectar from them lights up your beautiful lotus face.  You are worthy of being worshiped by all, pray protect me.

Oh, friend! Whose face is like that of the moon, one with beautiful teeth!  I know that nowadays my Lod enjoys the company of another girl.
That girl who claims that attention of my Lord is of the opinion that, He is an ordinary mortal. Oh, one with a beautiful face!
Although I am inflicted by the arrows of Cupid, I do not mind you attend on Him.  He is the one with peerless beauty.  The refuge of the universe! and lo! she thinks of him as an ordinary mortal.
She imagines that he is just a fallible mortal, whereas he is the ultimate repository fo all virtues. Oh, my friend, with dazzling figure and sweet words!  I pray to him who is devoid of any flaws to dispel all my miseries.
He is lord Sarasanabha, whose face resembles the autumnal moon!  The beauty of his form surpasses that of Cupid.  When will I have the pleasure of seeing you in the company of my beloved?  Oh, most virtuous one!
