Meaning

Oh, Rama!  You are the ultimate limit of excellence, and delight of our heart, the lord of Sita.
Your face is like the moon and is dark like therein cloud.  Your garment is golden your conquer of enemies and the delight of all the worlds.
Your feet are worshiped by Devas like Indra, kindly reside in my heart always. Your gait is captivating like that of an elephant.  Your ornaments of gold shine brilliantly.  You destroy the pride of the wicked.  You remove the sorrow of Samsara and your eyes brim with mercy.
YOu are surrounded by a crowd of monkeys.  Oh, Lord!  look after my well-being.  You wear a garland of jewels of nine gems.  Your form destroys the pride of clouds.  You enable us to cross the ocean of Samsara.  You are extremely beautiful.
Oh, a friend of the afflicted!  Save me.  you are the destroyer of Ravana.  You are the wish-yielding tree Kalpataru to those who surrender to you.  Oh, Varijanabha!  Your abode is in the hearts of Rishis.  Your forehead is marked by Kasturi Tilaka.  You are the recipient of the graceful glances of Sita.

Meaning

Oh, Rama!  You are the repository of fragrant flower-like virtues.  Your glory is to be rejoiced.  Oh, progenitor of Cupid!
You won over Parasurama.  Oh Rama you belong to Bimbokalaya (the lineage of the sun).
Great emperors worship your lotus feet.  Oh, the genesis of all the three worlds!  You are the king of kings in archery and the beacon of light of the sun dynasty.
You are waited upon by Angada the son of Tara.  You conducted yourself impeccably according to the ethics of the world when you heard through your spies the sentiments of your citizens. You are revered by your Carana (followers).  You reduced the burden of the earth.  You are adored by Brahma the consort of Bharati.
You are revered by Shiva the enemy of Kala.  You rejoice in the company of Sita.  Your arrow is, to the enemies what the whirlwind is to cotton.  You are like the shadow of a tree offering shelter to good people.  You are above criticism.
You discretely make one accomplish good virtues in this world,  You are extolled by Indra. Sages in this world and others venerate you.  You destroyed the miseries of existence and rescued goddess Sita from captivity in Ashoka forest.
You are very bright as thousand Suns;  are the faithful husband of goddess Sita;  gave refuge to Sugriva; gave happiness to Kausalya.  You have the glory of extraordinary and unparalleled experience.
You are the sentiment and repository of all sentiments.  Oh, Illustrious lord!  Let me meditate on you.  You are to the enemies what the fire is to the forest.  The suzerain of the world!  You annihilated Ravana, who was formidable and made terrible sounds.
You remove the likes and dislikes.  You dazzle with beautiful garlands;  have the hue of water-bearing clouds and have the red rays of various hues of the clouds.  You are Sri Padmanabha!

Meaning

Oh, Rama!  The one who obliterates all the enemies; please protect me; oh Sri Rama!
The charm of your form subdues that of Cupid.  With your lotus-like hands, you wield the bow and arrow.
Your lustrous form is like the dark cloud.  On your forehead shines the mark of Kasturi.  Your gait is more majestic than that of an elephant in a rut.  Your feet are revered by the wise who have renounced desires.  You destroy a multitude of sorrows. You protect even the oppressed ones. Protect me at once.
You removed the sin of Ahalya the wife of Gautama.
Oh, peerless Lord!  You enjoy the company of goddess Sita seated on your left side.
You broke the bow of Shiva who burnt Cupid who has the fish emblem on his flag.  You subdue the unethical people.  Your smile is nectarine.
Your feet are worshiped by Indra (the leader of celestials).  Your waist is adorned with shining silk.  Your nose resembles the sesame flower. You have the glory of annihilating the demons like Viradha, and your arrows come back to you are hitting the target.  You are praised by Shiva.
You are adept at decreasing even the heinous sins.  Your feet are worshiped by celestials who always travel in space.  You, whose desired boons on the kings. You are worshiped by a host of sages.  Your face resembles the moon the enemy of lotus. You subdued the pride of Kakasura.  You destroyed all the demons including Ravana.  You saved the king elephant.  You are surrounded by renowned monkeys lead by Hanuman.  Oh, Raghuvara!  Please shine on my heart.
You removed all the sins without any trace, of Ahalya the wife of sage Gautama.  You are adorned with shining golden ornaments.  You manifested as Sri Padmanabha and blessed people with total peace.

Oh, Rama!  Please protect me.  Oh, lord of the universe, the vanquisher of the dreadful demons!
You are more handsome than Cupid, are engrossed in bestowing the desired boons on your devotees.
Your feet are caressed by the son of wind-god Hanuman.  The beauty of your face surpasses that of the Parijata flower.  Oh, the savior!  You punished the demon who took the guise as a golden deer.  your beautiful forehead is adorned with the distinguished Tilaka made of substances like Kasturi and camphor.
You subdued the pride of the ocean with an arrow. Your form shines like sapphire.   You are adorned with a golden crown set with brilliant gems.  Your sweet smile enthralls Janaki.
You are adroit in annihilating all forms of miseries that afflict pious people.  Suzerain of all the worlds, your great virtues are sung by the celestials and sages.  You are the lotus-eyed lord Padmanabha who destroys all the impurities of the devotees.

Let others have faith in someone else.  But I place my implicit faith in you alone.
Oh Lord Padmanabha!  who reclines on the serpent couch, why tarry on bestowing your grace upon me?
