Meaning

Oh, Ramachandra!   The light of the solar dynasty and beauty personified, always protect me.
Your gait resembles that of the elephant.  You are the boat for crossing the ocean of Samsara.   You are an expert in fulfilling the desires of devotees and you are lovely like Cupid.
Your feet are worshipped by the Rishis. You are the ocean of compassion.  Your feet are worshiped by Anjaneya.  You are the repository of exalted glory.  You are lovely like sapphire Indranila.  The sun and the moon are your two eyes. Your forehead shines with the Kasturi Tilaka.
You are surrounded by crowds of monkeys.  You are bathed in the glance of Janaki. You destroy the sinds of those who bow at your feet.  Kindly remove all my sins.
In your hands shines the bwo.  You live in Ayodhya.  Your garment is like gold.  You are a great hero in the terrible battle in which the army of monkeys built a bridge over the sea.  With a single arrow, you destroyed the enemy.
Oh, the foe of Ravana!  Your gentle smile captivates all three worlds.  Your story is sacred. You have taken the form of Padmanabha.  Do not cast me away.

Oh, friend! your speech is sweet like honey.  I am pining for my lover. Dear one!
When will my lord Padmanabha, the one with serene qualities, seek after me quickly on his own?
Oh, Virtuous friend!  Will he come beside me during his night and smear musk paste on my forehead with overwhelming joy?
When will he come and enjoy my company, singing softly, anointing me with sandal paste and garland me with jasmine flowers and partake Tambula?
The moon has risen and keeps on going up.  Please go and tell him about my longing for him and bring him along with you to give me happiness.
