Meaning

Enough of the delaying, oh the pure one! Alas! Your beloved is being afflicted by unlimited arrows of Cupid.  Do console her, oh Amburuhanayana- the lotus-eyed!

She is lying on the couch which is made very cool by the rays of the moon.  She is hapless. Her innate courage shattered, she is wallowing. She is crying aloud.  Her body has become very thin.  Every night thinking about you, she excessively laments.  /that poor young maiden!

Once in a way she enters the house. She has become frail due to her emotional desires. During the night, she is weeping to be caressed by you.

Even the gentle and fragrant breeze whirling around is like the position breath emitted from the face of the king of the serpent.  She does not enjoy the musk of kumkum that adorns her.  She the only eyed one, as lost all her happiness.

Listen to my words! Oh, the pr=personification of virus!  Give pleasure to your beloved... Oh, the one who has the form like that of the moon! oh, Sri Padmanabha!  This is the right time to go.  Whatever mood she is in, She will feel very much delighted if you unite with her.

Meaning

Oh Mind! Behold! Why should you indulge in sensual enjoyment?

It enhances your greediness and draws you towards jealousy, desire, anger, etc. which are akin to bad dreams and hence are to be condemned.

Do not count on the maidens, merely going by their pleasant sweet smile, lotus-like face, etc.  They are just the collection of blood, flesh, dripping & stinking plegm etc.  The wise men indeed have proclaimed that all these are condemnable.

Do not count on the pleasant smile, beautiful, cool lotus face and the red lotus-like eyes, etc. of ladies who attract by their intoxicating talk, smiling by revealing their attractive teeth.  This only will bring forth the despicable sins tied very hard like a stone around the neck.

Do not count on those who walk majestically with the gait of an elephant; those who sport intoxicating musk paste; those who live in huge mansions.  Though these may give delight, they are transient and lead you to fickle-mindedness.

Meaning

You, the spouse of Adrisuta-daughter of the mountain, bent the Mandara mountain as a bow.  Please protect me lord Sambhu

You, the bestower of abundant fortune, the ocean of compassion, savior of the world forever, you adom yourself, the serpents as ornaments.

Your matted tresses are adorned with Gaga, you are the protector of the dejected ones, you reside in the lotus-like hearts of ascetics who are devoid of blemishes.  Your soft smile is pure like nectar.  Oh, supreme lord! Your exploits are immaculate, listening to which, all the miseries of the world are removed.  Your feet are worshipped by a host of celestials, you are adept at removing all the sorrows of those who attend upon your feet, you have the glory of vanquishing Cupid.

Your head is adorned with a crescent moon.  You are to enemies what wind is to clouds.  You are in the company of Bhutagana-s.  Your name is sacred.  You are the embodiment of all good fortune of your devotees, oh the dweller of Himalayas! the bestower of prosperity! your form is captivating, oh the treasure of virtues! you conferred on Arjuna the weapon Pasupatastra.

You destroyed the formidable Tripura, allayed the fear of Markendeya.  Your eyes are beautiful like the autumnal lotus petals.  You have the elephant skin as the robe.  On supreme lord! you fulfill the desires of your devotees in totality. Lord Sankara! you are extolled by Brahama and Indra.  Your glory is sung by Narada and the other ascetics.  You are kindly disposed towards the devotees of Lord Padmanabha.  You are the supreme one!
